Holiday Oatmeal

Try these oats warm or as overnight oats! Quick, easy and nutritious.

(Serves: 1)

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup oats

  • 1 tsp cocoa powder

  • ½ cup milk of choice

  • ½ tsp peppermint extract

  • ⅓ cup vanilla greek yogurt

  • Crushed candy cane pieces (optional)

  • Handful of chocolate chips (optional)

Directions: 

Stir together the oats, cocoa powder & milk until well combined. Microwave for 60 seconds (or heat on stovetop). Remove from the microwave, stir in the peppermint extract and yogurt. Top with candy cane pieces and chocolate chips, if using.

[Alternatively, all ingredients could be mixed together the night before as overnight oats to be enjoyed the following morning.]
